Below is a list of helpful information about car
hire in general in Spain.
Age:
Worldwide
the standard minimum age to hire a car is 25 and
the maximum age allowed is 75. However, in Spain
most locations require a minimum age of 21 and have
no maximum age limit. Drivers of 19 will be considered
in some locations. Please check with our reservations
staff.
Driving
Licence:
Drivers
must produce a full valid driving licence held for
at least 12 months. If you have a photocard licence,
both parts must be presented at the time of hire.
The rental car companies reserve the right to refuse
rental to anyone who does not meet eligibility requirements,
or anyone deemed unfit to drive the vehicle due
to excessive endorsements. In this event, Almeria
Living has no further liability to the hirer.
Car
Models:
All
the cars listed are examples of car types and are
grouped by size and similarity. No specific model
can ever be guaranteed and all our suppliers reserve
the right to supply an alternative vehicle of the
same size or higher group.
Returning
Your Rental Car:
When
you pick up your car keys, it's worth just checking
the car drop-off details. Don't forget that even
if you are only a few hours late returning your
car, there's likely to be a charge. The reason for
this is that the car has to be 'ready, waiting and
in tip-top condition' for the next holidaymakers
- just as it was for you!
Return
times and extra day charges:
All
car hire is calculated on a 24 hour clock. The worldwide
standard is a 59 minute grace period for return
of the vehicle before an extra day charge will apply.
Should you need to extend your rental during your
hire, please inform the company that we have arranged
the rental with 24 hours before.
